Open a VHDX (from Disk2vhd) leads to "Error opening file".

Hello,

first of all, thank you very much for the V2V Converter - great software!

I noticed, when I try to open a VHDX created with Disk2vhd v2.02 as "Local file", I get the error message:

Error opening file (2) [0]
Error opening file

If I mount the VHDX in Windows first (in non read-only mode) and then unmount it, I can open it in V2V Converter.
When I create a VHD the problem does not occur.

Is anything known about this?
Maybe my workaround will help someone.

Thanks for your kind words!
This can be because it is picked up as a device from gen 1 VM and therefore does not see VHDX.
As a workaround, I'd suggest using VHD and then try this cmdlet https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power ... ver2022-ps
