I am working on converting my Esxi 5.5 VMs to Hyper-V Vms on my new server. I have tested it and it looks like I can directly connect V2V running on new server to my live old Esxi host to do the conversions.
My question is: Do I need to consolidate the snapshots and logs prior to the conversion or not?

Yes, please, consolidate the snapshots.

TY. What happens if snapshots are not consolidated first....just interested to know.

Conversion might not run because of VMX seeing the delta rather than a proper file.
