Hi there,

I have a problem with the StarWind V2V Converter.

I get no access to our Azure account.

I click on "Get Subscriptions" but nothing happens.
If I change any of the IDs or secret there is a error message shown, but with everything entered correctly, just nothing happens..

See the attached screenshot.

I set up everything yesterday and it did not work, I wait for today, but still nothing happens.

Could you please assist?

Kind regards from Germany,

Patrick

Please make sure to set up the Azure account as described here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... Azure.html.

Hi yaroslav,

It is.

I want to convert an Azure virtual machine to on-prem VMware vSphere 7.

The resource group is there, the virtual machines are there.
Subscription pay-as-you-go is there.

Shouldn't there be at least an error message what's missing or wrong?

Normally it outputs the error if there is anything wrong.
Can you please reach out to the support? Please use this thread and 881327 as your references.

yaroslav (staff) wrote:Normally it outputs the error if there is anything wrong. Then, based on the output, as mention on this site, we can try to figure out the problem and fix it. Without that, you are just guessing and it would be difficult to pinpoint the exact issue. Can you please reach out to the support? Please use this thread and 881327 as your references.
hello
I am also having the same issue, no errors, really strange.

I think it is a problem with the manual and connection.

The problem is still here on my site, but a solution is in the works from an StarWinds support staff.

The strange thing is that old credentials (they were always working for me, to be honest) were working on Windows 11 PC to convert a local VM to Azure.

Found it. The issue relates to subscriptions. Make sure you are using Pay-As-You-Go (i.e., something that is not Free).
In other words, this seems to be something on Azure side.

Microsoft changed something in the way Azure subscription is read. We are trying to come up with a workaround.

Any update on this?
I am getting no response from the "Get Subscriptions" as well
I went through the setup process for the application, and have the IDs and secret correct.

This is my first time trying StarWind. I'm using version 9.0.1.268

The issue is on Azure's side, not the StarWind V2V converter.
1. Go to subscriptions.

"Add V2V as member"

Do you mean add the account I am using in Azure as a member of Readers for the subscription?
That didn't work.

I logged out and back in to Azure from the machine I am using.
I am an owner of the subscription.
And I am a member of a group that has been assigned Reader role - inherited

And just to be sure, I added myself explicitly to the subscription with role of Reader.

Can you try restart the converter and run the conversion again?
