P2V Migration of SCCM server

Hi all,

I want to P2V a Microsoft SCCM server to VMWAre. The server has a SQL Database installed.
Just asking..is it possible to P2V this server and do I need to stop the Database before conversion?
And when finished, is the source server (physical) intact? So no changes, shutdown or other things?

Hi,

It is not necessary to stop the SQL database but to keep the gap between virtualized and physical versions minimum, it might be necessary to stop the SQL database. Physical service is not impacted by conversion.
