V2V convert to VMDK 'unrecoverable error' on win11

I downloaded the StarWind V2V converter yesterday via email link from startwind.
It always prompts errors when I tried to convert img files into vmdk for esxi.
I converted them to vhdx without problems.
I used V2V to successfully do similar conversion in a couple of years ago so that I suspect it is related to windows 11.

The img files:

any .gz file in this folder and extract to img.

I am using windows 11 professional Chinese version [Version 10.0.22000.675]
The PC has plenty of disk space and RAM.

Could you please advise anything I can do.


btw, I have a 4K monitor and set the screen scale to 200%. V2V text is too small to read and it doesn't scale up according to the system setting.
btw2, this forum my Timezone has an option "[UTC + 8] Chinese Standard Time", which should be "China Standard Time".

This does not look like StarWind VS2V Converter log. Are you sure you are using StarWind V2V converter not one from VMware?

I am 100% sure this is V2V error.
I know it is weird that log has VMWare errors but I haven't installed any VMware on my computer yet.
StarWins V2V popup an error message titled "VMWare" but the background is still StarWins as you can see from the screenshot below:

And I just found out the reason:
The path name of the image contains chinese and caused the problem.
I have to copy the file to root folder and do the conversion.

What I am trying to say is the log is looking different.
Please setting the language for the system to English and avoid any non-ASCII symbols in source and destination names.
