Hi Guys

I'm getting this error when using the console version.
Any pointers or can we specify a parameter to ignore certificate errors?

I have port 80 and 443 open for my ESXi host.

But port 902 is not open.... is this required?

I use this software for a bit older ESXi environment and this is the only difference in the Network i can find.

Greetings,

Looks like the V2V Converter cannot connect to the server. Try temporarily disabling the firewall OR move the file to the destination server and try V2V conversion of the local file.

Hi yaroslav

Thank you for your reply.
I confirmed that the ports 80 and 443 is open to the host.

I'm converting a local .vhdx file on from my management server (Windows) to a thin provisioned disk on a specific VM on that specific host.
I also tried disabling my windows firewall on the management machine, but it did not change anything.

With the UI i can connect to the host then browse and select the vm and start the conversion, but that also fails.

Are you sure that port 80 and 443 is the only ports needed to be open for the VMware ESXi host?

Can i do something so the Starwind V2V converter will ignore certificate errors?

Greetings,

Please try copying it to the destination server and converting it as a local file, if possible.

What do you mean?

Copy my .vhdx file into my ESXi host data store and then try convert the .vhdx -> on my target vm in vmware?

Can you move the file to the Windows machine and convert it to VMDK as a local file? There is something on the network, the Converter cannot connect to the destination.
