I am converting from VMware 7.0 to Hyper-V 2019. No issues on either side but when i connect whether it be direct to the ESXi host or to vcenter, it only allows me to convert to Gen 1 in Hyper-V. Its probably something im doing wrong but i cant seem to figure it out. No issues and it converts with no errors to Gen 1 but of course since the BIOS is UEFI the VM wont boot.

Also per best practice the VM Hard disk and the VM Machine files are seperate for Hyper V but i dont have that option. Whats the behavior for these file placements via the tool?

Thank you so much!

It appears to be a driver problem-related issue. Try converting the disk alone in the Repair mode. Also, having the error that prevents you from booting is appreciated.
