I am experiencing this error when converting a DISK to VHDX.
It is a Windows Server 2012R2 with the latest updates.
I have ignored the error and attempted to attached it to a Hyper-V VM,
but are unable to boot, Hyper-V reporting that there is no bootable OS found.

I have run out of ideas and have broken three converted files attempting to make it bootable.
It appears there is no RAW boot partition.

How should the Hyper-V VM be configured or what else should I do?

Thank you in advance!

The disks I want to virtualize. Ignore Volume 3, it is an USB disk and not required.

Apologies, the images should be viewed from the bottom, up for clarity.

Hi,

You are booting the VM from the DVD disk.
What was the original server? Was it running on ESXi or was it physical server?

Hello Yaroslav,
Thank you for your for you reply.

1. It is a physical server: Windows Server 2012R2
2. I wish to virtualize it to Windows 2019 Hyper-V Server
3. I have attached the Server 2012R2 ISO to the VM to use the command prompt utilities if required.
3. The physical server disk info as per image.

Hi, please try starting the VM first. If it has problems booting up, see a possible fix here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Fo ... 638cb356f5.

Any idea why the Starwind report the error as in this screenshot?
