Hi

I am trying to convert a physical server 2012R2 to hyper-v in server 2016. The output disk format is vhdx and is gen 2 hyper-v which I do not have a choice to make the changes. When I boot up that VM in hyper-v, it says (1) the network media is discconnected, (2) SCSI disk, no uefi-compatible file system was found. (3) No operating system was loaded

I tried to convert the vhdx to vhd and re-create a new vm of gen1. WHen the vm boots up, the whole screen turn blank with a cursor blinking.

How should I do?

Try converting it as Gen2 VM and select VHDX as an output format.
Configure boot order https://www.techrepublic.com/blog/data- ... oot-order/ to boot from the right file.
