Hi there,

I'm trying to convert an Azure VM to local VMWare.
I configured the Azure app as described in the StarWind V2V Converter Help.

I can choose the subscription but no Azure machines are listed. "Select a virtual machine or image" is emtpy.

Welcome to StarWind Forum.
Based on the logs, V2V cannot connect to Azure. Could you please double-check that you have set up storage account and app as described here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-help/Cloud.html.

thank you for your help.

I removed all the stuff from azure and recreated everything based on the setup descibed in the link.
The issue is still the same. I already tried to install StarWind V2V on another clinet with the same result.

I exported a VHD from Azure and I'm able to choose a virtual machine location in Azure and so on but convertation failed (see attachment).

Does the group/host have non-ASCII symbols? Please contact us at support@starwind.com. Use this thread and 508058 as a reference.

Will PM you with the build that has improved logging. Try to V2V and send me the new logs here, please.

Hi,

there was a ressource group with german umlauts (non-ASCII symbols) that brought up the error.
I just moved the content to another Azure RG and the StarWind V2V Converter shows folders and machines on azure.
