Hi,

We have a problem when we try to convert a Vm from Hyper-V to Vmware : Starwind converter see empty disk.

We have a cluster hyper-v with 4 nodes which access to the storage on a Hyper-V cluster S2D trough SOFS Protocol (SMB3).

It's seems the tool can't access or see the sofs's shares :

Caption = "Get Virtual Disk Information";
Child = NULL;
CommunicationStatus = NULL;
DeleteOnCompletion = FALSE;
Description = "Getting Virtual Disk Information";
DetailedStatus = NULL;
ElapsedTime = "00000000000000.024648:000";
ElementName = "Get Virtual Disk Information";
ErrorCode = 32769;
ErrorDescription = "Failed to get the disk information.\n\n'': account does not have permission required to open attachment '\\\\clust-sofs\\sofs-ssd03\\VM\\SRW-VEEAMONE\\SRW-VEEAMONE.vhdx'. Error: 'General access denied error' (0x80070005). (Virtual machine ID )";
ErrorSummaryDescription = "Failed to get the disk information.\n\n Account does not have permission to open attachment.";

With the used account on the hyper-v host we can open the share.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Hi even with the admin domain account i have the same problem.

Maybe the kerberos token is not transmitted to the S2D Cluster storage.

Best regards

It can be because we normally get those events when a user does not have the necessary privileges.
Are you using the latest V2V converter available, by the way?

Yes i use the latest version 9.0.1.243

when i connect to the S2D cluster storage i see the SOFS's Shares but not with the compute cluster that accesses to the storage trough SMB3 and with kerberos authentication

Thanks

best regards

Can you please move the disk to the local storage?

Hi, can I have a look at the logs, please?
Will escalate this question to the R&D team.
