Hello

I'm trying to convert a .imgc file to .vmdk file but imgc files are not in the list of supported files from the converter. I want to run the file in Virtual Box after i converted it.

Any suggestion?

Greetings Rik,

Well, officially, V2V does not support that...
There is a trick you can try though. It seems to be a RAW image, so you can try renaming it to *.img and try converting it. Save a copy somewhere.

Let me know please if that works (or does not).

Hello

Thanks for your suggestion.

I renamed the file to .img and V2V was able convert it into .vmdk. It was not possible to run the file in Virtual Box probably because file was not recognized by Virtual Box?

Greetings Rik,

Here are users with similar issues https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=81318 and https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=96207. Could you try mounting that VMDK to some VM just to confirm that everything is fine with VMDK itself?

Hello Yaroslav

I got past previous obstacle thanks to the info in the links. Now the VM want start up . I get this message : FATAL : No bootable medium found! System Halted . The .vmdk file is in the correct folder so i guess the VM does not recognize it?

Rik,

Please, could you attach that disk to any other VM to make sure that it works?
Let me know if it does (or not).
