Hey All,

First of all i love the converter really good.
I'm converting VM's from VMware 6.5 to Hyper-V 2019 and it works fine.
The only issue i have is when the machines come over to Hyper-V they are in Generation 1, is there anyway to make the Generation 2 while converting?

Hello, you can convert to 2nd gen. StarWind V2V automatically picks the VM generation. If the boot option is set to BIOS, the conversion is done to gen1 VM. If the boot option is set to UEFI, the converted VM will be of 2nd generation.

I only get the option to for Boot: BIOS i dont have the option to convert it to UEFI boot and i cannot change it.

Unfortunately, StarWind V2V Converter picks generation automatically. There is no way to change it from GUI I guess.
