Converting from vmdk to vmdk

I need to convert a thin vmdk disk by reducing the size.
The size of the (thin) vmdk disk is, let's say, 300 GB, while the Windows partition inside it takes only 100 GB.
Can I use StarWind V2V Converter to convert my vmdk disk to a smaller size?
Regards

At the moment, having thin VMDK as conversion output is not supported for ESXi server disks. Yet, it is supported for VMDKs to be further used with VMware Workstation.
In your case, the easiest way to shrink the size of the thin VMDK would be to shrink the partition inside it, and then perform Storage vMotion having chosen thin disk as your target format.

Many thanks for your reply.
I suspect I posed a wrong question.
The vmdk managed by an ESXi 6.5 host) disk is thin and the size is 300 GB.
There is a partition inside and the size in 100 GB.
I want to reduce the spze of the vmdk disk from 300 to 200 GB.
Can StarWind V2V Converter help?
Or, is there any other solution?
Regards
marius

You should be able to shrink thin-provisioned vmdk with the help of VMware functionality.
