Invalid namespace

starwind v2v converter "invalid namespace" error, when I enter the Hyper-V server name or IP I can not get past this point (Hyper-v -> ESXi) I am on a WIN 2008 R2 system, even the when I use the 'localhost' I get the same error

Please use 2012R2 or later as the StarWind V2V Converter host. Windows Server 2008R2 is not supported for that purpose.

Hi,

I am using starwind v2v converter lastest version.
when i enter the hyper-V server host name or IP, it always prompts "invalid namespace" and I cannot get past this step.
Hyper V server version: windows 2008r2 enterprise.
Please advise. thankyou

Welcome to StarWind Forum. Where are you running StarWind V2V Converter? Is it WS 2008 R2? Having some screenshots will be much appreciated.

Yes, i am running StarWind V2V Converter on HyperV server which OS is WS 2008 R2. i also tried ran in its VM server - OS windows server 2012/2016 , all shows invalid namespace.

Could you please provide me with the screenshots inside the 2012R2 or 2016 VM? Try reinstalling the software too, please.
Having the conversion logs will be much appreciated.

It's the same error name space invaild, I have reinstalled this app many times. i don't have logs as it even hasn't got into the conversion.

My case
windows 2008 r2 physical Dell rach PowerEdge 2850 i like converto to VHD to other server Dell windows 2008 R2 Hiper V,

the server physical i have two disk C: S.O E:data

the server hiperv not join domain

the two options i are use, i convert local VHD in harddisk in harddisk external usb , and copy file in hiperV server, i not working load machine virtual.

please help me.
