Invalid file format (11) [0] Footer marker not found

Hi,
I am trying to convert a Junos Space Log Collector VMware appliance to HyperV (VHDX) format.
There are two files, system.vmdk and data1.vmdk, and selecting any one of them in the converter results in a following message:
I cannot find any documentation on this error nor any mention about it over google.
I have previously installed the same appliance on VMware, so these files seem to be proper for VMware.
Any hint?
