VHDX to VHDX Conversion - Thin Provisioning and Windows Activation Repair failed

Hi,

I am planning to use Starwind V2V converter to migrate my old standalone hyper-v (Hyper-v 2012) hosted VM to latest Hyper-V 2016.

When I try to run a test using 2 node of Hyper-V 2016 (Decided to do a test using new hardware instead of messing with old hyper-v 2012), the destination format was VHDX Pre-allocated image, while the options VHDX Growable Image was grayed out. The VM operating system is Windows server 2016 dc.

Any way we could make the destination file format as growable/thin provisioning?

Also, the windows activation repair also failed with the unsupported os error. I have to manually recreate the VM configuration and attach the migrated VHDX and reconfigure network adapter as the old network adapter is now marked as missing and i only got a new adapter attached without any IP address assigned.

Thanks
Eddy
