Hello,

I tried the V2V converter, but it won't open my files.

I want to convert a machine from VMware Workstation to Hyper-V. The default filename for virtual disk files unter an english VMware Workstation is like "Virtual Disk 0.vmdk", in german "Virtueller Datenträger 0.vmdk". The problem is the "ä" in the filename. The converter just ignores it and wants to open the file "Virtueller Datentrger 0.vmdk" which does not exist. Even when I rename the file the converter still searches for the original file name, because the name is hardcoded in the VMDK file. Is it possible to fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dino
