Hello,
As I am new to the forum, please bear with.
I have a vmdk made by VMware standalone converter. runs fine, and doesn't have vmtools installed.
I have the v2v software installed and hve gone through the process of making a vhd.
I succefully made a file. but its a file called with the descrpition of a "hard disk file"
I would like to import a vhd into hyperv manager, but it doesn't recognise this file.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Can you confrim that the output file had the *.vhd extension?
how exactly are you trying to add it to VM?
Can you share the screenshot of the problem?

Thank you

Here is a screen shot, as you can see it made a Hard Disk File image.
I went through your software, then selected from the destination image format,
MS Virtual PC growable image, then next, then it made a Hard Disk Image File.

I`m sorry but hte screenshot illustrates the files, not the problem how I requested.

But you can you try to mount it as thick provisioned disk?
