Hi all,

Thank you for any assistance in advance,

We are currently using Citrix Provisioning Server (PVS) 5.1 booting up Virtual machines running in VMware 4.1.

The vmware tools on these servers need updating, now when we try to update the Image in PVS becasue it updates the NIC driver, it can no longer write back to the private image.

The only way I can see to update this is to convert the .VHD file in PVS to .VMDK, update the tools and then re-provision the image back to the PVS server.

When converting the image, I have tried all 3 options in the Starwind converter:
VMware growable image
VMware Pre-allocated image
VMware ESX server image

Now, When when the conversion has completed I upload the image to the datastore and select use existing virtual hard disk in the settings, VMware does not detect the VMDK to be seletected.

I have tried converting the file using both IDE and SCSI options in the conversion.

Regards,

Andy
