Veeam instant recovery or Starwind v2v?

Moving from ESX to HV and I'm wondering which of the two is better. I played with v2v and it worked just fine, i like that i can move a vm live as opposed to veeam using last nights backup and having to take down the server for a maintenance windows. Thoughts on either one and why?

If you have the backups you are comfortable restoring from, use Veeam Instant Recovery.
V2V before could convert to more platforms and allow for live conversion. Also, it is free
