Howdy.

I'm attempting to convert some ESXi VMs to XCP-NG, and the easiest way for me to do that would be to convert the VM hard drives to VHD format and import them on the XCP-NG machine.

However, every time I try to run the V2V conversion, it dies. No error message, the snapshot file is left behind, and the V2V log shows some odd timeout errors, even though I've set the timeout to 0 on the web interface and I changed /etc/vmware/rhttpproxy/config.xml to 28800 as per another post.

I zipped the log files and attached them, my attempt to include log entries in the body got blocked by Anti-Spam by CleanTalk.

Any thought on what might be going on?

Thanks.

So, just a quick update.

I downloaded an older version of V2V (9.0.1.268) that I found a link to on another post, and it appears to have worked.

When V2V “dies silently” with leftover snapshots, it’s usually snapshot chain + storage + NFC transfer instability, not just a timeout setting.
