I have a few linux VMs on my Hyper-V server and I am trying to move them to a Proxmox server (8.2.4).
I have done the live conversion from Hyper-V to Proxmox via the software.
It states it has completed but when I start the VM in Proxmox, it just sits at "Booting from Hard Disk"

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

**UPDATE**:
I was able to get the system to boot, having to change the BIOS setting to OVMF (UEFI)
I however am unable to get the network to work, it seems to only have the LOOPBACK,
The network hardware is using the same settings as another VM on the system,

*UPDATE 2**
/etc/netplan config needed to be updated to resolve the network issue, the network adaptor ID was different than what was on the Hyper-V

Hi,
Welcome to StarWind Forum!
Please try a different netwoek type (driver).
The issue seems to be related more to Proxmox than V2V.

Thank you for the reply.
Yes it was indeed a Proxmox issue.
The network adaptor name in the /etc/netplan/config.yaml file was different than what was in the Hyper-V host.

Once i had it updated, and rebooted it is working as expected. Thank you.

I appreciate this. Thanks to your approach, I was able to convert my Hyper-V lab to Proxmox with ease. The only modification I did was to use SFTP to copy the xyz.vhdx files to tmp on my Proxmox server, after which I imported the vhdx. That was a lot quicker.
