I have been experiencing very slow (max 5MBps) from esxi to esxi, esxi to hyper-v, esxi to azure.
Could you please let me know was the Azure region you used?

Sadly shares are not HA. True, you can build a highly available device and present it over iSCSI to the File Server.

NFS share is not present in CentOS-based appliances. Please download the CVM OVF to use NFS shares.
