Re: StarWind SMI-S and integrations with SCVMM 2012

Steves, Thank you for your VERY detailed reply. Now I completely understand your needs. Is this currently not supported or am I just missing something on my end? The preview version of SMI-S provider is incomplete in part of reporting of " StorageEndpoints ". We will implement this feature...

Re: StarWind SMI-S and integrations with SCVMM 2012

Dear Ticktok, Hi Yurly, Another issue which is unlikely to be a problem in production environments is that if you remove all LUNs from a target in VMM 2012 then the SMI-S agent deletes the folder on which the LUNs reside, making it impossible to create further LUNs. Re: StarWind SMI-S and integrations with SCVMM 2012

Dear Ticktok and Tiago Rost! Please, see screenshot here: http://www.starwindsoftware.com/tmplink/smis/SCVMM_VolumeAvalibleSpace.PNG It is normal that you see 0 GB of Available Capacity because we are SAN (not NAS). We can only allocate space for LUN, but can't say what part of space is currently us...

Re: StarWind SMI-S and integrations with SCVMM 2012

Ticktok, please, specify type of the storage device that you try to use with SMI-S? IMG or IBV? Please, note that preview of SMI-S provider supports only IMG and IBV types of storage for now. Re: StarWind SMI-S and integrations with SCVMM 2012

Thank you for your report, Ticktok! We will try to reproduce each issue reported by you in our QA lab. We will notify you of the results as soon as possible.
