Re: Cant connect to Server

Hi Yaroslav, first of all, thank you so much for your support and help. Secondly, kind of an informative question. I tried reading the log files, but I could not understand where to look for the "which node has the most recent data", in case something drops out. Where would I look for the ...

Re: Cant connect to Server

Hi, I did try removing the server and add it again, but it did not help. I also tried different ways of adding it and it still can't connect. Do you mean the targets or the server in the management console? The server in the management console. EDIT: not that I would like to get them connected, I NE...

Cant connect to Server

Hello all, I am writing this cause I've hit a dead end. I've come across an issue which I can't resolve for the past few weeks. The whole thing is operational and all so I can't devote my time to tinker on production server, etc. In the picture below, you will see that I can't connect to the other s...

vSAN over ONLY 2NICs?

Hello all, I honestly don't know how to even search for this and I hope I will ask this right. I know I made a thread awhile back, but I would like to keep this separate. Is it possible to create a vSAN HA Cluster Failovering and all that jazz using only two NICs? On a recent project I have created ...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

There is no device that can publish the storage over iSCSI: one is not synchronized, and another is missing. Please see srv02 has the image on the underlying storage. Please also check StarWind.cfg on srv2 for any references to the headers of the missing device. YES!! This helped! Thanks! there was...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

Please press the refresh button. If the CSV is there at all it should be listed as reconnecting. Please provide the screenshot of the management console.

Is this ok? I can unblur some info if needed.

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

Is full synchronization running? EDIT2: Correction. I have the CSV iscsi for one node, but I do not have it for the second The CSV should be available over iSCSI already so bring it online. Pardon me for not understanding the matter completely... What do you mean by full synchronization? CSV is ava...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

I did mark the device sync manually, but only am able to do it for one node. If I try for second I always get "HAImage2 not found". Also, I did remove the write-back cache as you instructed, but it doesnt seem to update itself in the Starwind console as it still states the default value fo...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

Thanks for your update. Do you have a write-back cache on your devices? If you are referring to VSAN, then yes. Also, make sure the DCs are out of the cluster. I can confirm the DCs are out of the cluster. Last but not least. CSVs have their own failover threshold. If they are reachable over iSCSI, ...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

Hi yaroslav, thank you for your quick reply. How would I go about replicating the *.img file? Ive seen the pshell file, if we are talking about the VTLReplicationSettings.ps1, but I'm not to confident with powershell. What changes would I need to make to the starwind.cfg file? As for the device ID, ...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

Hi yaroslav, hope all is well. I am sorry for writing again in the same thread, but its kinda easier for me to keep track of things. I also apologize for not confirming anything after our last correspondence. Everything was working fine since I last confirmed and I once again thank you for your assi...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

Secondly, I got it working! I followed the links and instructions you posted, edited the HA images with steps in between like stopping/starting services, then I used the GetHASyncStatus file. It took me a few tries, but it finally synced. Sorry, I don't quite follow. Is the problem still there or i...

Re: Cluster Storage offline, can't bring online

Referring to a post you quoted regarding the sync status: Try marking sync_status 1 only the first occurance. Set the latter to 0. Make sure to edit the files while StarWindService is stopped. Last but not least, remove write back cache: should make such incidents less frequent. I'm kinda lost in wh...
