Re: Error Connection to Azure

Ping is quite a high-level test. It will just answer if there can be connectivity.

Re: iSER with ESXi

iSER was a feature of StarWind VSAN for Hyper-V. It has pretty much always been "Test feature". NVMe-oF target will be coming in the next build. I am not sure if it needs a new license. NVMe-oF on Windows is in test mode. In the next build, hopefully, the production-ready target will arriv...

Re: How to enable iSER on StarWind_Virtual_SAN

I am sorry to inform you that there's no iSER support so far.
It is still the same build now. Please wait for the next build where NVMe-oF/TCP is going to be introduced.

Re: Issue to boot on VM (hyper-v) after successfull convert from a physical PC

When you create a VM you can select the disk controller type and boot loader.
Check out more on Hyper-V VM settings https://www.altaro.com/hyper-v/hyper-v- ... -settings/.

Re: Using V2v converter with Private Endpoint

You need to ensure the communication. Unfortunately, I was never doing that (it seems to be part of the end-user world).
In most cases, I just converted a VM from my server to the cloud and vice versa. Give it a shot, maybe it works if you can communicate from your servers to Azure.

Re: Issue to boot on VM (hyper-v) after successfull convert from a physical PC

I select the option to convert the whole machine, by default and cannot be change it convert into gen 2, which seems fine anyway. The Gen is picked automatically. you still can convert the VM volumes to the VHDX and create the VM yourselves out of those disks. Did you try IDE controllers and change...

Re: Windows File Server

Welcome to StarWind Forum. SoFS is a way to go only if you plan a file share to store files, not the VM disks. SoFS introduces a huge overhead that will be negatively affecting the performance. To build a cluster for virtualized workloads, check out this guide https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour...

Re: How do I force a synch?

I tried restarting but it didn't fix the sync problem. I searched for it in the settings a lot. Did you have a chance to check the hardware? May I wonder if any of the nodes are synchronized, and, may I wonder if you ever tried restarting the active node (BEWARE OF DOWNTIME AND POSSIBLE MUTUAL NOT ...

Welcome to StarWind Forum! V2V and StarWind VSAN are two different products. Could you please let me know what is the VM you tried to V2V? Also, did you try IDE controller to boot from? Could you please have the screenshots? StarWind Manager (I believe you are referring to the StarWind Management Co...
