Re: ESXi iSCSI software adapter paths are dead

That's very strange. Maybe my colleagues will help you to narrow down the issue.
Try reaching out to the person who sent you the trial key for troubleshooting the system with the tech on his end.

Re: ESXi iSCSI software adapter paths are dead

Please deploy the identical systems on the same host license them with a trial license and create the devices (IPs should be different). If the problem persists, there is something on the networking side of the system. Also, you can reach out to the person who shared the TRIAL key with you to file t...

Re: ESXi iSCSI software adapter paths are dead

Please rescan the storage.
Can you please share the network diagram with me? I want to understand how the iSCSI channels are connected.
As an experiment, can you try typing in the management IP address?
Also, please make sure that the VMK has also /24 subnet there.

Please check if the devices are showing as highly available.
Do you have Port Binding enabled in the initiator?

Re: ESXi iSCSI software adapter paths are dead

Welcome to StarWind Forum. To me it looks like a network issue. It is highly not recommended to use distributed vSwitches for iSCSI and Sync, just as any network abstraction. See more at https://www.starwindsoftware.com/best-practices/starwind-virtual-san-best-practices/. Do you have any firewall en...

Re: Network binding after license change

Thanks for your update.
iSCSI target server is operating over the same ports as StarWind VSAN, causing some sort of clashing from the OS perspective. The solution can be using custom ports.

Re: Change in the Starwind convertor configuration

Welcome to StarWind Forum! Are you referring to the VMs becoming GEN1? GEN for the VM is picked automatically based on its boot option that you specified at the source. Try converting individual disks and re-creating the VM in the destination. You can also convert GEN1 to GEN2 as described here http...

Re: Cant connect to Server

No worries ;) My pleasure to help. You can look through the logs to find which node went not-synchronized first. This node SHOULD NOT be marked as not synchronized. Look for "to 3 from 1" both for partner and local node. Ideally, one node should mark the partner as not synchronized while a...

Re: Post migration issue with VEEAM

Hi,

Welcome to StarWind Forum. StarWind does not allow conversion to MVMDK (see more on supported formats here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... tions.html). Can I please have the conversion logs?

Re: Network binding after license change

Seeing the screenshot of how the issue manifests itself could help.
Is the system running Windows Server?
If so, please make sure to have networking configured using Static IPs and iSCSI target server role is not installed.

Re: Copy VM from Hyper-V to VMWare

Hi, 1) Is StarWind V2V Converter a good option for this? Yes. 2) I presume, this will now create the VM on ESXi and leave the source VM intact and running as normal, creating the copy as desired with no impact on the source? V2V converter does not do any impact on the source. The synchronization but...

Re: Network binding after license change

You need to reinstall the OS to change from TRIAL to FREE.
Please see if you have iSCSI Target Server installed in your Windows server. Uninstall it if you have the role installed.

Re: Please answer my question

It depends on what boot option is specified for the VM.
You can convert the VM disks and recreate the VM manually. You can also do it as p2v conversion from inside the VM.
