Sorry for misunderstanding, I was trying to say "do you have an older V2V converter version saved somewhere so you can downgrade and try with an older build".
Thanks for your post. Please expand on the conversion scenario:
-source image type, destination image type.
-Are you converting a VM or a single disk?
-What is the source and destination host hypervisor versions (specific update levels, if possible)
Thanks!
Yeah, I guess having so much experience makes you a really valuable member of the team (I am happy they have one ;D).
Good luck with your project. Let me know if you need anything else.
Rescan is event-triggered, not time-triggered. There's a logwatcher file (not a *.ps1). Check it out.
We do not expect our users to alter it, though, unless there is any strong need for it.
Beta is only for labs. I guess that's why it is beta still
You are always welcome. From what I see in a different thread, you have a perpetual key. If you have an active support contract, let us open a support ticket.
"trialing the solution to improve the early experience"? Trial comes with GUI experience and you can reach out to the account manager for tech assistance. If you hold the perpetual license with an active support contract, you can get support :D With POC too. https://www.starwindsoftware.c...
Yup. This might not fix the issue, as it could be just related to drivers. If your backup software allows for something like instant recovery, you could do it for cross-hypervisor conversion to test my idea about the drivers. If the VM does not boot after converting with a different tool, there's so...
From what I know, it is better to use starlvm due to all that snapshot-oriented text above.
p.s. I strongly recommend trialing the solution to improve the early experience with VSAN. It cannot be converted to Free, but at least you get some tech help.
The plugin allows taking snapshots of your VMs using thin LVM. The default thin LVM supports shared LVM, yet does not allow for snapshots. LVM-THIN, in turn, does support the snapshots but does not support the shared LVM. AFAIK, that module uses one thin LVM pool for all VMs. The plugin allows for d...
