Re: P2V to Azure extremely slow

Welcome to StarWind Forum. Could you please let me know
1. What Azure tier you are converting to?
2. What is the network bandwidth?

Re: NVMEoF support

From what I know, it should be released in the middle Q3 or early Q4 this year.
Please keep an eye on the release notes.

Re: Trouble Migrating from ESXi to Hyper-v with multiple disk

This is the VM configuration file. I doubt you can easily edit one for Hyper-V. You still can check the VMX file for an individual VM while the VM runs in ESXi.

Re: P2V to ESXi - How to specify thin provision

Welcome to StarWind Forum.
You can convert it into ESXi growable device in UI (the help document section needs to be updated).

Re: Question: Starwind Vsan Free

Greetings,

Please fill in the download form here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/#download. Web UI for the free license allows creating a storage pool, and a volume. LUN though should be still created with PowerShell.

Re: Trouble Migrating from ESXi to Hyper-v with multiple disk

Thanks for sharing your workaround. It looks like something went sideways with the VM config file. I am glad to read that you managed to sort it out.

Re: VSAN Free - Hyper-V - physical storage access

You are always welcome. It all depends on the performance expectations and the underlying storage you have. For NVMe-based systems, the performance will hit the glass ceiling of iSCSI anyway (can be compared to RAID 5 out of SSDs' performance). 1 GBE will absolutely kill the performance of this setu...

Re: Trouble Migrating from ESXi to Hyper-v with multiple disk

Try converting the disks alone and recreate the VM. It looks like something is going sideways with the config file. See also this thread https://forums.starwindsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6763&p=36723&hilit=google#p36723 and https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hDP4gla0VXyAnKFzkqePvP_Z...

Thanks for your remark, I do not see how it applies to the original request though.
