Can this "full hash" is be used for other devices, especially SSDs? It would help a lot with SSD wear not to just copy a whole SSD onto another when it could just have compared the hashes? Full hash sync is happening only for Storage Spaces. Speaking of how to mark the node as synchronize...

Under normal conditions, I'd suggest avoiding that. Good test, though.
You need to start the service on all nodes after such an outage, or mark the service as synchronized manually.

Finding the resolution will take some time. Not to be the bottleneck, I suggested using OVF.
StarWind V2V is not based on Ovirt's solution.
Instant recovery is another option, you are right. I was just trying to come up with a solution that does not require other pieces of software.
