Re: Power Outage - One CSV did not auto synchronize

Hi VMax, Thanks for your reply - as I am on Free Ed I was trying to run the powershell scripts so after actually connecting to the correct IP and port (loopback wasn't working  ) I ran the SyncHaDeviceAdvanced.ps1 and then saw the device was syncing in the console. After the sync was complete ...

Re: Power Outage - One CSV did not auto synchronize

The enum devices powershell script won't connect to the local host (HyperV01). But Check SW Connection does with the same credentials. Very confused :?

Re: Power Outage - One CSV did not auto synchronize

HyperV01 (& 2) show two of the iSCSI connections as "Reconnecting" HyperV01 iSCSI Connections.png I guess these have to be enabled on the Starwind side before windows can connect to them - but I am not sure how to do that. <<< This is what I am looking into right now Access Rights is s...

Power Outage - One CSV did not auto synchronize

Hi All, 2 Node HyperV Cluster on Windows Server 2012r2 &vSAN Free Using vSAN Free sucessfully for a while now - not too many issues and very happy with the solution! We had a power cut yesterday evening and this morning I noticed that the Cluster Shared Volumes that are provided by vSAN were not...

Re: Is this correct behavior? Can someone explain?

Ok I think I finally figured it out - MPIO policy was set to Round Robin for some of the targets in the iSCSI control panel. I set all to 'Failover Only' and if the Target was the host I set ("Edit...") the 127.0.0.1 connection as Active and this automatically set the remote IP connection ...

Re: Is this correct behavior? Can someone explain?

Hi Serhi, Thanks for you answers, I have added info after your answers below: Hello O1982, 1. All data in HA devices must be the same. Thus, if your virtual machine is located on node 1, all data is immediately replicated to node 2. The synchronization process between nodes uses a synchronization ch...

Is this correct behavior? Can someone explain?

Hi All, Loving vSAN so far, great product (still can't believe there's a free version), but I have some quick questions. Setup is 2 Node starwind vSAN setup for HA shared storage (CSV for Failover Cluster) on Win Svr 2012r2. Can someone just confirm that this is expected behavior? Question 1: With a...

Can't change default iSCSI port from 3260

Ok - I think I was overthinking it - as there is no other type of iSCSI initiator running on the hosts then I can leave everything as is. And my issue with connecting to a local target turned out to be a misconfiguration on my part (leave initiator IP as 'Default' for a local target) Sorry an...

[SOLVED] Can't change default iSCSI port from 3260

Hi Everyone, I think I am missing something in the process to change the iscsi port from the default 3260 (we have a netapp iscsi SAN also in use on our hyper-v hosts) I have followed the guide here: https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware.com/guidance/how-to-change-starwind-virtual-san-default-port-...
