Re: VMs keep getting corrupted

Hello all,
so I have placed iSCSI and Synchronization link under NIC teaming, which was not desirable and therefore data corruptions occurred. NTFS events vanished after I reconfigured networking and dedicated links to iSCSI and Sync and was able to run testing VMs couple days with no problem.

Re: VMs keep getting corrupted

Hello Boris,
thanks for getting back to me. I have sent the logs to support@starwindsoftware.com with subject name "VMs keep getting corrupted" as we should not post logs here.

VMs keep getting corrupted

Hello all, I am writing to get my setup checked as virtual machines I run in the cluster keep getting corrupted for some reason. I have 2 node hyper converged Hyper-V cluster with 2 CSV disks, each one with L1 and L2 cache. Cluster works well, failover tests run all ok, but I run into weird issues f...

Re: Proper procedure for creating L2 cache on existing HA-Pair

Thanks for clearing this up. I managed to setup the cache and it appears in the device properties. However I have one more question that is partly related to the cache and partly to the main volume. When I setup 2 CSV's and assign their primary owner to different node, does that split the storage pr...

Re: Can't create HA device with Powershell

Not sure how it helps you, but I was able to configure Ha device with L1 and L2 cache, and that's basically all I wanted to do :-) So i guess this thread can be closed as solved. Thank you for suggestions !

Re: Can't create HA device with Powershell

Hi,
I found out that I have to edit headers for this. However L1 can be setup with powershell.

Re: Proper procedure for creating L2 cache on existing HA-Pair

Actually I find that L2 cache guide confusing. What header should I edit for standalone device ? From the guide it looks like I should edit L2 cache header. Step 1 tells to create L2 device and step 3 tells to "Open the .swdsk file of the newly created device ". I guess that means L2 cache...

Re: Can't create HA device with Powershell

Basically I have 2 SSD drives per server and I want to use them as a chache. I guess it's L2 cache in Starwind terminology. Wittness disk doesn't have to have a cache, but CSV's might need some, so everything runs smooth. Unfortunately example scripts have no mention of the cache configuration whats...

Re: Can't create HA device with Powershell

Hello Serhi,
thanks for suggestion. Changed the target names as you suggested and it works. Another problem was that I totally forgot to change executionpolicy to unrestricted. Now I have to figure out how to specify SSD cache for the volume.

Can't create HA device with Powershell

Hello folks, I know it has been discussed many times already, but I can't seem to create a HA device with the powershell module. I have looked at the script handful of times and I am pretty sure I am missing some detail. Maybe a fresh pair of eyes can see what I'm overlooking. One thing I noticed, t...
