Re: LSFS Device Mount Failed

Did you stop StarWindService? You can do it by running "net stop starwindservice" in Command Prompt (as Administrator)

Re: LSFS Device Mount Failed

Hello, NanoGage.
In order to fix the issue, please follow these steps:
1) Stop StarWindService;
2) rename .splumap and .spvmap extension in folders where failed devices located;
3) Start Starwind service;
4) Wait for the mounting progress;
Let me know how it goes!

Re: HyperV VSA instalation create volume

Hello guys! Yes, the .vhd drive created instead of .vhdx, solves the issue. You can login with IP, instead of VM name in order to prevent any conflicts. You can assign a static IP address under Configuration tab --> VSA Networking Settings.

Re: Starwind virtual SAN free - Performanceproblems

Hello, Holger! Let me give you few bits of advice here: 1. What RAID setting do you use? We recommend the following (for SAS): RAID 10 Disk cache: Default Write policy: Write Back Read policy: Read ahead 2. The results of your previous tests (writes of 1172 MB/s and reads of 716 MB/s) look exaggerat...

Re: Why can't I extend a device/image?

The main purpose of LSFS is to increase performance on spindle HDD drives at the expense of storage capacity. LSFS is thin provisioned. These .spspx files are snapshot files, and new .spspx files will be created when you write something to HA storage. Please, note, if you experience the situation, w...
