Re: ever-growing UDP socket buffer memory on 127.0.0.1 in Linux

Hi dsw9742,

Unfortunately, it could not be done manually at the moment. We are going to fix in the next builds. I will update the community as soon as we will do that.

Re: ever-growing UDP socket buffer memory on 127.0.0.1 in Linux

Hello dsw9742, Answering your question about the UDP socket, StarWind Service utilizes UDP for a Service discovery protocol. It is used to find out StarWind services over the network for StarWind Management Console. Since, this mechanism is not needed for a VSAN for vSphere (Management Console is de...

Re: Some LSFS mounting issues

Hello Anton,
LSFS device mounting time depend on the amount of data located there.
As I mentioned above our R&D department already works on it. We are waiting for this improvement in next couple builds.
In case if it is critical for you, I would recommend you to migrate the data to Image devices.

Re: LSFS HA partners different sizes

Hello Anton,
The difference in size between LSFS devices is normal behavior because each node could have the different journal size.
As for the snapshot size - it is 512 MB + 4 MB header size.

Re: How to set up a mirrored virtual disk in Hyper-V?

Hello Dillparallax,

Unfortunately, it would not be possible to do it with a StarWind Virtual SAN Free. Free version is not possible to install inside of the VM or on a host with Hyper-V role installed.

However, it would be possible to do it with a full version.

Hello Dillparallax,

Thank you for your post.

Could you please clarify your question? You want to replcate virtual disks between 2 VMs on the same host, don't you?

Hello Itsecasc,

Did you try to ping this node with jumbo packet from your switch or other node?

Re: NTttcp tests

Hello Itsecasc,

Could you provide a little more input here?

What configuration you have. Maybe you have a switch, which does not support jumbo frames (or they are disabled). Thus, sent packet is default (1500) size.
