Re: SAN Accelerator

Hello, L2 cache align only read operations, so if you have more than 80% read operations in you production, go ahead with L2 cache. Before you will implement LSFS, you should read LSFS technical documentation: https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware.com/explanation/lsfs-device-technical-description/ ...

Re: Accidentally client remove device - now unable to re-add the device - Starwind vSAN 8.0774

Hello,

Could you please clarify did you remove a physical device(lsfs files) from the datastore?

If not, you can always add existing device. Please double check, that you are adding the right device(I mean spspx file).

Thank you.

Re: 3 node setup, reset 1 failed node

Hello,

Generally, you need to recreate the replica.

Go to Replication manager, delete replication(delete affected node), create a new replication in associated tab.

Feel free to ask any additional questions.

Re: wrong license platform

Hello,

You can`t install Free StarWind version inside VM due to Free license restrictions.

You can ask for NFR license, but it is not for commercial purposes, here:

Have a nice day.

Re: Trying to setup Virtual SAN Free v8

Hello,

StarWind free license has restrictions, you can`t use the iSCSI connections.

So in this case, you can create SMB share, which is described in the document upwards.

Thank you.
