Re: Is L2 cache now stable?

Hi,

It should be stable and ready for production, although i would recommend you waiting for next release build. If should contain major fixes and improvements for L2 cache.

Re: Accidentally banned the vmware server

Try clicking on your Server in StarWind management console and selecting access rights. You will see your banned session there, set it to allowed.

Re: Unalloacating space on a dedupliacted disk V6

People are using LSFS with in-line dedup now. I don't think that anyone will work on a bug of outdated version these days

Re: Should I add all of my HD space to VSAN?

I decided to use HA and not think about rebuild at all. Since when the drive fails, rebuild takes days, but in case when you have copy you can simply destroy RAID and create new one. After that copy all the files and be happy :D

They are passed as they were, but now you need 2 separate nodes for StarWind. This is the only change.

Re: LSFS volume grew, filled hdd, now datastore EMPTY??

Speaking about V6, you are free to use functionality of V6 in V8. V6 did not have LSFS and L2 cache, thus simply using thick .img files with L1 cache will provide you with V6. Guys who lost data using LSFS, i am really sorry for you, but next time i would suggest you reading LSFS specs and configuri...

Re: Extending LSFS HA drive

I am using as many devices as i need, but per each device i have a separate target, saying it in other words, i have "blabla" target with "blabal" device attached to it, and so on. This way its much easier to connect devices in iSCSI initiator. Btw what StarWind build are you usi...
