Regarding your initial question about SSD recognition:
Unfortunately, current StarWind release represents SSDs as HDDs via iSCSI. The fix will be on board in a month or two.

Hi guys,

Regarding cache configuration:

Basically, L2 cache should be faster than main storage. In this case, performance improvement is possible. And yes, WT mode for L2.

Hi ofnd,

Just 2 things:
  • The offset varies for different StarWind versions and the latest version has no offset at all (0 offset)
  • I am afraid, that VMFS5 is not Windows browsable file system

VLAN & LCAP have not shown themselves well in our test lab, therefore we do not recommend their usage.
