Re: Compensation?

I've emailed twice about an NFR license and never got a response. I did get an email out of the blue asking for my home address so a gift could be sent to me but that was several weeks ago and nothing has arrived.

Has anyone gotten an NFS license?

v8 RC license key expiring

The license I received for v8 RC expires on 4/26/14. Is there a new license available?

Thanks

Re: Compensation?

I vote for a personal testing license as well. It's nice to have a good iSCSI solution for my home lab that runs on Windows.

Re: Console crash

Just had an issue with my console as well, however, in my case, I had created an LSFS thin provisioned image to see how it performed (my other 3 LUNs are thick legacy image files) and when I was done testing and detached it from the target, one of my thick LUNs detached as well along with the consol...

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN Version 8.0 Beta-3

Is it still a requirement to only update to the latest beta build from v6 and that updating to the latest beta build from a previous beta build could fail? It is not a requirement. It is warning. Due to changes/fixes related to vendor/product, serialId and eui-64 identifier there is possibility of ...

Re: Windows Server 2012 R2 and Storage Spaces compatiblity

Which version of v8 beta are you using, the current version is v8beta2(8.0.6180) ? Does this LUN you created say "FLAT" for Device Type ? and imagefile# for Device Name ? anton The FLAT is not LSFS right ? So it does not have the dedup & auto defrag ? So does that mean LSFS does not h...

Re: Windows Server 2012 R2 and Storage Spaces compatiblity

I'm using a fresh install of v8 Beta on top of Windows 2012 R2 Storage Spaces and haven't had any problems. Can create thick LUNs fine.

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN Version 8.0 Beta-2

The build has been updated. http://starwindsoftware.com/tmplink/StarWindBeta.exe Could you please also check the update process from v6 to v8? All devices types should work properly, but Snapshot&CDP, Mirror and DDdisk devices have restricted management functionality. There may be issues with L...

Re: starwind config help ?

ACL does not affect the management interface. Default ACL policy can be changed in StarWind.cfg file <DefaultAccessPolicy value="allow"/> It looks like service crash. Do you see minidump files in StarWind directory? It did on my box. Added Access rights for my VMware cluster to see one ta...

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN Version 8.0 Beta-2

I went full ghetto and just moved my important lab VMs onto local storage then upgraded Starwind to Beta 2 while the rest of the VMs were running. Worked perfectly. Service was only down for about 15 seconds, the running VMs were fine. Obviously I would NEVER do that in a production environmen...

Re: Thick provisioned virtual disks

Is that normal that I should have to change the default storage pool every time I create a device? I'd think setting a custom path at device creation would override the default.
