I've been paying attention to these boards every couple days and havent seen a download link or announcement that v8 is available, even in beta form. Did I miss something?

Re: Build 6.0.5055 Cache

Of course, very understandable. I was just surprised after not using the product for a short while to come back and trying to set my cache at 2048 wasn't working. Unlimited might be unreasonable, but a few GBs would be nice. Take it for what it's worth. Thanks again,

Re: Build 6.0.5055 Cache

The last time I tested the software there was no limit to cache. I kept recreating my devices today thinking I was creating them incorrectly because i couldn't get past 512MB in write back cache, even though in the wizard I could set whatever I wished. In my lab I definitely don't need the HA featur...

Re: MPIO performance drops after adding 4th NIC

Sorry, in my edit at the end of the post I mentioned it was a NIC connecting at 100Mbps. That one was throwing everything off. Ended up being a bad cable in this instance. Thanks again for taking the time.

MPIO performance drops after adding 4th NIC

I am trying to make sense of the results I am seeing when testing out MPIO with Starwind 6.0.4837. Target Server: Windows Server 2012 Device - CDP Image, Thin Provisioned, Write-Through Caching (4096MB Cache Size) Storage - 6 x 1TB WD Red in RAID 10 on PERC 6e (attached to Dell MD1000) NIC - Intel i...

Re: MPIO Configuration

That did the trick! Thanks so much. Seeing great numbers now over 2x1Gbps mpio between the server and initiator. Thanks,

Re: MPIO Configuration

Was there ever a resolution to this question? I am experiencing the same issue. I only see one of the two IP's I entered into the discovery tab. Using Starwind Free 6.0.4837. Starwind Server: IP1: 10.30.0.5 IP2: 10.30.1.5 Device: Asynch Mode - Yes Target: Allow Multiple - Yes Initiator: IP1: 10.30.0...

Re: StarWind global disk cache

Any word on this as yet? I've been evaluating starwind and find that I am unsure exactly how much cache to allocate to a disk knowing i can't change it later on. A global setting would be perfect. Thanks,
