Re: Error opening file (2) [3]

This is the error "The system cannot find the path specified".

I can not say why it occurred in this case.

Can you get debug traces with DebugView to provide additional information?

Thanks

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN Version 8.0 Beta-3

Please, send me StarWind logs for failed mounting attempt.

Also, what was the workload for this device?

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN Version 8.0 Beta-3

I create a LSFS LUN, it checks the free memory I have and then calculate what is the max LSFS I can create and if what I want is greater it lets me know, and make a recommendation, now this suggestion is base that if this LUN became full then all the memory in my server will be fully use (yes/No)? ...

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN Version 8.0 Beta-3

When the new LSFS device is created it does not use all needed memory. Memory usage grows as device is filled with data. Maximum size restriction is based on the assumption, that there should be enough memory to support 100% full device. Until that, it does not use additional memory, so it is still ...

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN Version 8.0 Beta-2

You may try opening the needed LSFS device as read-only, so you will be able to read all the data from it. To do this, edit the .swdsk file of that device. It has an XML format. find the following line: <mode>1</mode> and replace it with <mode>2</mode> then try to mount this device, it should be mou...

Re: v8 - Crash, lsfs volume mount failed

Hi,

There should be a crash dump of the starwind service. Please, send me it. It should be located in in Starwind service directory (c:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind) and have a .mdmp extension.

Thanks

Re: V8 LSFS Failed on first 2 basic tests

Please provide me with additional information: - What are the parameters of the LSFS device ? Did you use default parameters for LSFS device (i.e. "LSFS block size", "Deletion support" etc. ) ? - What cache did you use and what was its size? - Is the service running on the same m...

Re: Dedup on single core?

That version does not support multi-threading.

But, the deduplication library supports using multiple threads. It will be available in the next major release.

Re: Error opening file (2) [32]

Hello,

it means that that .vhd file is already opened by other application.

Close the file or close all applications that may use this file.

Re: Error opening file (2) [2]

You have the VMDK in stream optimized format. The converter does not support it by now.

Re: file i/o error (4) [1450]

It seems that there is not enough disk space for converted image.

What is the size of your .img file?
How much free space do you have on the drive where .vhd file is saved?

Re: VHD in Virtual PC help!

It is not the host machine hardware was changed but the emulated hardware.
First it was VMWare emulated hardware and then it became VirtualPC emulated hardware.
