This error is an 'Access denied' error. It seems that that vmdk file (or the one it points to) is locked by another process or you do not have sufficient privileges to access that file.

It looks like the VHD you are converting have a base VHD which cannot be found.

It may happen if you moved/copied that VHD,

Could you send me the first megabyte of .spdata and .spbitmap files.
Also, please tell me the exact sizes of these files.

Could you send me the latest log file where the device mounting failed.

Could you try using 512 block of deduplication for that purpose?

It could be the problem of Hyper-V file format that does not necessarily align data to 4k boundary, so the dedupe engine could not match these blocks.

What software was used? The most important is version of that software.

It seems that the converter does not support that image file.

This error means that you don't have needed access rights to that file.

There is a bug in the converter, it will not convert the multipart VHD correctly.

I am now working on fixing it, the working version will be available soon.
