Re: VMDK to VHD - Invalid File Format

Hi Anatloy,

I am getting the same error when trying to convert an Atlantis ILIO appliance supplied as .vmdk to Hyper V:

Invalid file format (10) [0]
Not all descriptor fields are present

Any chance on a early release for testing? :)

Thanks,

Martin

Re: StarWind V5.9 Beta

Hi Bohdan,

Been a while since I've had time to contribute to the beta program, hopefully I'll be able to give 5.9 a decent looking with XenServer 6 and PVS 6.

Is 5.9 available as a XenServer virtual applicance?

Thanks,

Martin

HA Creation issue - Partner Not Ready - Server 2008 R2

Hi, I am trying to configure HA on the latest release of the beta (20100408), I have read through the Hyper-V and High Availability Storage document and followed the steps to ensure I'm not doing anything wrong/in the wrong order etc. I get no errors during the creation of the HA Target and the HA T...

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN V5.3 Build 20100323

Update - Issue was caused by incorrcet IQN in the ACL for the Xen Servers so not an issue with StarWind or Xen Server but rather my typing skills

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN V5.3 Build 20100323

Quick update - Just checked the ACL to confirm both IP and IQN for both pool servers are allowed access to the XenServer LUNs. Default rule set to deny. - reboot the XenServers and no reconnection to the LUNs - Run Repair on Storage Repository - failed to connect to LUNs set Default rule to Allow - ...

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN V5.3 Build 20100323

Hi Guys, Yeah that is how I have it configured, there are ACL rules in place to allow both the XenServer IQNs and IPs, and as reported the ACL works ok and allows access through to the LUNs but only if the LUNs are already connected. If I reboot the XenServer with the deny all rule in place and the ...

Re: StarWind iSCSI SAN V5.3 Build 20100323

Hi Bohdan, Also just remembered, you prob aware already, but found that in order to get the XenServer 5.6 servers to connect to the StarWind LUNs I have to set the default rule to allow access to all targets for all. Once they connected to the Targets all ok to use the Access Rights and set the defa...

GUI Design - Host/Target access groups

I appreciate this may be a little late in the day.. It would nice to be able to group Targets and Hosts in the StarWind Management Console. At the moment all Targets appear under the single Targets node and there is no place to predefine host IQNs in any way. When working with a cluster or pool of s...
