Stop Full Synchronization

Hello,
I have an urgent problem.
After I rebooted one node, StarWind went into full sync. The performance is extremely degraded and I can barely start up VMs.
I made sure to shut down all VMs and put one Node into maintenance mode.
How can I stop full sync? It says it will take 15 days!
Thanks

Shutting down ALL VMs is not needed. Please see the restart procedure at
https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... installed/. Please make sure to follow the restart procedure.
Please note that it is unlikely to run into full sync during one node restart.
1. What is the storage configuration (RAID level, if StarWind VSAN for vSphere, how storage is connected to the VM)?
2. What is the HA device size?
Workarounds.
1. Reduce sync priority with the script haSyncPriority (C:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind\StarWindX\Samples\powershell).
2. Review storage configuration.
3. Remove caches if any are used. See more at
https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... -l1-cache/ and
https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... dance/661/
4. Make sure StarWind VSAN is up-to-date.
5. Make sure not to terminate the service in the future.
For quicker response time, please consider switching to commercial licenses with the support plan that works best for you. See more at

Thanks Yaroslav.
I will do a full sync over the weekend and see. I will also update to the latest StarWind Version.
I have two more questions:
- You wrote that there is a script to limit sync speed. Which script exactly is for bandwidth limitation?
- I have read that StarWind supports Sync Journal. Do you have a documentation to enable this feature
EDIT: Found this document:
https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... a-devices/
Do you have a powershell manual?
Thanks again
kkit

Greetings,
You wrote that there is a script to limit sync speed. Which script exactly is for bandwidth limitation?
By setting it to 5% you can limit the sync speed so that VMs are likely to get more I/O and the performance hit of full sync on slow storage should become moderate.

Okay, but which of the ps scripts does that?

Please see the path and script name above.
Let me know if you have questions on tailoring the script.

Hello Yaroslav,
just wanted to give you the feedback that everything went fine, sync took 16 hours for 71TB over 2x 10GBit Fiber connection.
Update of StarWind went also fine
Best wishes
Eren
