Is this by design? In sshot-33, you can see a HA set-up between SAN90 & SAN91. In sshot-34, I've removed the replica but this also removes both the target and device from SAN91. Is this by design? It freaked me out a little when I first did it ;-) One can re-attach the devices but would it not be better to just remove the target from the partner node, leaving the device still listed but unattached?

Cheers, Rob.

Well, yeah, that is by design. Thus we are showing that there is something that previously was here and can be used.
Is there any problems with that? I mean, what freaked you out?)

In the screenshot showing lsfs1 without a target, I had to re-add the device to get that screenshot. By default, the target and device disappear entirely. They are still on disk so you can re-add the device.

So this is how it ends up:

storage3 and HAImage3 have disappeared entirely from SAN91 even though the device is still there. What I'm suggesting is that whilst the target can be removed, the orphan device should still appear so you know it's still there.

Cheers, Rob.

We`ll take it into consideration, but for now we`ll leave it in that way as additional foolproofing.

Thank you for your input anyway, we really appreciate it.
